Faxpress sent faxes vanish

The default fax confirmation setting is Every Error. This means that your
HP Officejet prints a report only if there is a problem with sending or receiving a fax. A confirmation message indicating whether an item was successfully sent appears briefly on the front panel display after each transaction. To have a confirmation printed for every fax, follow these instructions.


1 Press Setup.
2 Press 1, then press 1.
This selects Print Report and then selects Automatic Reports Setup.


3 Press direction right button until Every Fax appears in the second line of the display, and then press OK.


The HP Officejet will print a confirmation report every time you send a fax informing you whether the fax was sent successfully or not.

Please check the your telephone line, take one analog phone and fax cable put in phone and check u get the dial ton on not, if not then your telephone line have a problem contact to your service provider.


If u get the dial ton then, check the fax setting, and cancel the all faxes, then restart the fax machine the check again to send the fax.

1. clear the fax queue
2. clear all documents in the pc print queue
3. unplug the fax machine for 30 seconds
4. replug and try again

Tip If you choose On Fax Send or Send & Receive, and scan your fax to send from memory, you can include an image of the first page of the fax on the Fax Sent Confirmation report. Press Setup, press 2, and then press 2 again. Select On from the Image on Fax Send Report menu.

Did you check your printer queue tab. When I was having trouble getting receipts to print the print request would go to the Printer Queue and upon opening the tab I saw my print jobs being held there. Once I deleted them the Red Light went out. Check out your user manual as I believe there is a section that tells you how to troubleshoot the lights...as some issue relate to flashing lights and other relate to solid lights. Hope this helps

You can setup the printer to print a confirmation page on send. Push the setup button - then push right arrow until you see print report and press okay - press right arrow until you see fax confirmation and press ok - push right until it says on send and press ok. Hit cancel to go back to default and now you will get a confirmation for all sent faxes.

You can configure your HP all-in-one so that it automatically prints error and confirmation reports. If you need printed confirmation each time a fax is sent, follow these instructions before sending any faxes and select Send Only. To set automated report options from the control panel Press Setup. Press 2, and then press 1. This selects Print Report and then selects Fax Report Setup. Press to scroll through the following report types: Every Error: prints whenever there is any kind of fax error (default). Send Error: prints whenever there is a transmission error. Receive Error: prints whenever there is a receiving error. Every Fax: confirms every time a fax is sent or received. Send Only: prints every time a fax is sent indicating whether the fax was successfully sent or not. Off: does not print any error or confirmation reports. Press OK to select the report.

its in the fax preferences option...on the fax icon right click and go to properties..somwhere in the preferences should be an option to select automatically delete sen faxes..or something like that.
