Check your battery, trade with a known good unit and see if the problem continues. Also, check the programming to be certain you do not have any battery saving features turned on. If neither of these are the problem, then your radio is in need of repair.

My Cp200 can't connect to my new Motorola Talkabout T5720 (7 Channels) 2-Way Radio, need HELP

The CP200 is a dealer programmable radio which was available in UHF or VHF. You would need the UHF model to match. Then the radio itself would need programmed to the same frequencies as the T5720. This requires Motorola proprietary software, cable and radio interface box (RIB). Your best option would be stopping by your nearest dealer to have it programmed.

Cp200 squeel

This is called feedback. The audio output from the other radio is feeding back through your microphone. Turn the volume down on the radio at a comfortable listening level, and do not transmit when in close proximity. If they can hear you speak, you do not need to transmit.

How can I program my rdu2080d to communicate with my cp200

Both radios require appropriate programming software and cables. Your CP200 would need to be a UHF model in order to match the CP200. Your best option would be visit your local dealer or contact an online repair center for help in programming.

HEllo, I have a Motorola Radius CP200. When I

If the sound is continuous, like a long tone humming, it is possible you are on a channel which is not programmed. Try changing your channel knob to a different channel and see if the sound changes.

If the sound is not continous, and only happens upon pressing a button, we are not certain what you are experiencing without seeing the radio first hand.

If it were the battery you would get a low battery beep and then the radio would shut itself down. This can happen from a bad battery or a low battery. If this were the situation, you should check your charger and be certain the light comes on and stays on when the radio is placed on the charger. (Note: your radio should always be turned off when on the charger.) A quick test would be to swap the battery with a known good radio and see if you have the same problem. If so, you know it is not a battery or charging problem.

If none of these items help, send or bring the radio to a Motorola repair shop for a quick analysis.

Best regards.

Compatibility

If your CP200 has a model number beginning with AAH50R it can be programmed to match the RDU2080d. If your CP200 model number begins with AAH50K, then the answer is no.

The letter R in the model number indicates it is UHF, and on the RDU2080d, the letter U in the model name indicates it is UHF. Both of these radios are programmable, and could be reprogrammed to match one another, if both UHF.

Best regards.
