Feedback noise in speakers and Woofer.

I have an Altec Lansing 2321 - 2.1 speaker system. I get feedback noise sometimes. It sounds like someone is blowing their breath into micro phone. Can you make some suggestions to help me solve this problem?

I tried to solve the problem by moving the woofer farther from the PC. I moved my cell phone to another room. I turned the spaker volume down very low. I turned the woofer volume down low too. I switched the connection plug to another point in the back of my PC.  None of these worked.
Thank you,
Fred

Hi wfj1310,
that feedback comes from the distance between the mic and the speakers only. Low the record level from the mic and make the distance bigger.

it makes feedback with any speaker, not only with woofer :-/

If other speakers are working, then 745 is defective or the volume switch is set to mute. Please check that, repair it if required.

Feedback sound

If moving the microphone doesn't work then suspect "microphonics" where a loose electronics component is vibrating and acting as a microphone. Could be cable. Unplug all microphone cables, still feedback? Right click speaker icon, sound properties, temporarily disable computer sound input devices. If still feedback then analog section of sound card (or motherboard sound chip) or your speaker system.

Altec Lansing Altec AVS 500

If you are using windows media player check if your player is configured to have an echo. If it is configured remove it. If it is not configured to have an echo and if you are using any soundcard have that sound card check by an expert or by your vendor and let them check it out if it is still under warranty.

Powered sub

thats sounds like feedback. try giving your sattelites spacings. if they are near to each other, try to put them far from each other.

try also to turn of your microphone. that might work.
