No 'clay' colour. canon pixma i 4200
I'm afrade I don't know what you mean by "Clay Colour".
For a Canon, usually you have Black, Magenta, Cyan and Yellow and you
MAY have Photo Magenta and Photo Cyan depending on the machine.
Print out a test page and tell me what colour is missing from that page
(compair it to the one in your owners manual or the driver).
Usually a missing colour is caused by a clogged head. Use the cleaning
function over and over (try at least five times). If still not working,
either the head is very badly clogged, has gone bad, or the purge unit
is not working. Please make sure you are using OEM ink cartridges, as I
have seen refill ink cause this exact problem.'
Try soaking the bottom of the head in water overnight (not the entire
head, just the bottom part). If this does not work, you will either
have to replace the head or disassemble and clean the purge unit. I'd
start by cleaning the purge unit since it's free. If you're not sure,
call your local service provider. They can test it using a known good
head but it's likely not a free service.
