1. Once you pair the keyboard the DV8P will remember it and reconnect whenever you switch on the keyboard.

2. Bluetooth keyboard use very little power and will stay charged for a very long time. You'll know to recharge when it stops working or a red LED lights up. Just charge it once a week to be sure.

3. Turn off the keyboard when you're not using it to conserve the charge.

4. Is it a mini or a micro usb? It SHOULD be a micro, the same as the USB port on the DV8P. You can use any USB charger with the cable that came with the keyboard - or just use the charger and cable from the DV8P.

Janet Johns: When you get to the screen that says "Enter the passcode for your keyboard", just under the box where you would enter a passcode if you had one is the phrase, "Or try entering a passcode on it". You will notice that this phrase is gray instead of white. It is a link. Tap on that phrase, and your tablet will display a new passcode. Type this passcode on your keyboard and press enter. They will then pair.

How do you get the rca RCT6378W2 tablet connected with a Bluetooth keyboard

If your tablet is Bluetooth-enabled, follow the set up instructions that came with the keyboard. Basically, you turn Bluetooth on on both the keyboard and the tablet. Start the process of pairing and connecting from the tablet. If you are asked to enter a password/passkey and it is not specified in the keyboard's manual enter '0000' or '1234' (without the quotes). Note that the password is required only for pairing, therefore it will happen only the first time. If your tablet is not Bluetooth-enabled, you cannot connect the keyboard to it.

Trying to pair my apple bluetooth keyboard with viewsonic 7 tablet using easy connect

Sorry to hear/read this really.
One thing you've got to know and as a matter of fact acquaint yourself with is this-

Original Apple OS devices, gadgets and equipments DO NOT readily pair or connect with Android OS based devices, gadgets and equipments.

With time, maybe someone can find a way round to resolve this impasse but at the time, its best you save yourself all the aggravations.

Make use of your maplin keyboard instead.
