I don't think you can. The reason is that subtitles are part of the content offered by the producer of the program. Spanish TV programs just don't add English subtitles to their programs for you to access. It costs money to do so. As the English speaking film industry is far larger, some go the extra distance to offer such in order to be able to export films to other countries.

Movies said have CC close captioning sometimes just an add on print.Must go to the movies main Menu.To see if it have a Title on the main menu said SUBTITLES English,Spanish or French.Press that SUBTITLES to get close captioning printing words on the screen.But if u push the underline word said SUBTITLES,nothing is showing up on the screen,than the DVD movie disc have a problems or the add on print said CC is a lies.That the world for u,nothing are 100%.
it is quite easy to play those anoying subtitles
first name the same way both files (video file and subtitle file)
example
movie.avi
movie.srt
be sure that both files are in the same folder
second:
insert the cd/dvd in the yht-630
when the menu appears select the subtitle file using the arrow keys and press the "subtitle" key after this at the screen you will see -> subtitle selected
finally select the file that contains the movie (again arrow keys) and press "ok" or "play " key
the movie will start and the subtitles will appear.
