Hi I was hoping someone could help me answer this question. I just recently bought a used scanner and got it shipped. Thing is when I plugged the scanner in...the scanner warms up and then the green and orange light on the scanner keep blinking. When I looked it up in the manual, it indicated that it had a broken lamp. So I bought a new lamp, installed it...but the green and orange light are still blinking. Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

Re: Broken Lamp Blinking
Try replacing the cable (USB?) Often times cables will fail when one wire inside breaks or has intermittent connection.
I had good luck buying cables at: Also due to strange wiring at the front most scaners and printers favor USB ports behind the CPU more often than not..

The most common issue for this TV is the lamp. If the current lamp in the TV set is around 2-3 years old then I would start with that. If the lamp is not original they only last about 1 year. If you already replaced the lamp recently the next step is the ballast.
Hi, Is is standby light blinking red or any other light? Let me know how many times red standby light blinking after three seconds long pause to provide you helpful info. It seems pop sound was due to broken lamp, please check lamp inside tv and if it is broken, replace it to solve tv problem. Hope this will help. Thanks.
Hi, I do not see model number and brand info of your tv in question so providing you generic info to solve tv problem. Make sure lamp cover has been placed back in its position after lamp replacement in tv, lamp cover is first thing that was removed to replace lamp. Hopefully replacement lamp is exactly the same and not generic/ OEM type that can cause of such problem. Hope these info will help you. Thanks.
Hi, If red light was not blinking before lamp replacement and after that it start blinking 3 times then pause for three seconds and again blink, check lamp cover that has not been fixed on tv or it is not fixed/ seated correctly there. Lamp cover is first thing that you removed from tv to replace lamp. Hope these info will help. If red light is blinking other than 3 times, let me know how many times it is blinking along with tv model number written at rear to provide you helpful info. Thanks.
Sony KF-60WE610 does not show any Red blinking light then it is Lamp
that need to be replaced because existing lamp has reached to end of its
life but still not dead nor broken and causing problem. If lamp got dead or broken, tv will show you Lamp light blinking. Replace lamp in tv to solve its problem. Hope these info will help you. Please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv. Let me know if you have any question. Thanks.
Put lamp cover back in its place as 3 times blinking light shows lamp cover has not been fixed. Lamp cover is first thing that you removed to replace lamp in tv, make sure it is fixed securely in its position.
Thank you for contacting Fixya.
You need to check the blinking times of the Paer jam LED. Then check the followings:
1. If the lamp is on, then ADF Switch is malfunctioning. Disble or short the switch.
2. If the lamp is off, then it is Flatbed or ADF Inverter error. Lamp inverter circuit is to be replaced.
5. If the Lamp is still off, then Lamp is to be replaced.
6. If the issue still persists, then you may have to contact the authorized Avision Service personnel for further diagnosis and suggested repair or replacement.
Hope the above information is helpful.
