Stove is beeping and scrolling message says to remove probe but it was not being used

I am baking some food and part way through the time, the range began to beep. When I went to see why, thinking I might have set a timer incorrectly, I saw words scrolling across the bottom of the window that said "Remove Probe". I have never, ever used the probe and so punched the cancel button several times. At the time the oven began beeping, the baking temp shut off. What can I do.

SOURCE: beeping will not stop on jenn-air oven

your probe socket may be shorted or wires going to it grounded to frame. Or your main computer board is NG.

SOURCE: Front control panel shows "Remove Probe From Oven" & Beeps.

I have the issue as well, seems like when I use the convect. feature. I have not called to have it serviced yet, but I have found that opening the oven door and truning the fan on for a few minutes, corrects it. At least until you turn it off again.

Controls lost mind -- keeps asking for probe temp

Houston, we have a problem... Your electronic relay control, (ERC), is shot, kaput, no bueno and must be replaced in order to correct your situation. The ERC part number is 3191106, and retails for ~305.00 dollars! (I kid you not). I guess now is the time you might consider replacement over repair. That's a good question. If you choose to proceed with the repair, repost and I'll help with details on how to do it.

Code F7 appeared during oven use

You have/had a stuck keypad. If it happens again just push all pads at random to try and unstick it. If it gets to be a nuisance replace the keypad membrane.

Kichenaid electric stove

the probe is put into the oven to sense heat and to prevent the oven from oveheating during normal operation. the reason the probe is beeping is because it's dislogged or needs to be replaced.

the only way to make the beeping stop is to disable it but i wouldn't recommend it.

have a technician run a diagnostic on the stove. sounds like the probe needs to be replaced.

Probe light

I had the same problem today (my wife overflowed a pot of chicken stock last night, so there was liquid all over the cook-top, and some probably got down behind the control pannel). Based on the solution to a problem that seemed similar, though definitely not as exact as your description, I checked the probe connection (unscrewed the retaining nut, then unscrewed the two sheet metal screws holding the housing in place, then gave the probe connection a gentle tug to ensure that it was still properly connected). Finding nothing wrong, I replaced the housing and retaining nut, and the lights were no longer flashing.

Stove controls beeping and flashing "Probe"

Most likely oven sensor / probe is the problem. It can be tested with an ohm meter. Not sure about your model, but most should read around 1100 ohms at room temperature. If there's a tech sheet somewhere on your unit, it should tell you.
