Found out we still had a warranty/service contract on it. Contacted SEARs and I explained problem to technician. Scheduled house call is Friday.
SOURCE: Ice maker is working very slowly
This is usually caused by low water pressure from the water supply or a clogged strainer in the water inlet valve where the water supply comes in.
OR
look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover
with a +/- on it. + is more water.

the arm that swing up and down maybe able to be ajst by bending arm and the water leaking down the icemaker. is it unlevel when if fills if not unlevel is it hooked up to an r/o system if it is when was the last time filter were replaced if not, does it have a water filter has it been changed lately.
SOURCE: Kenmore - ice maker won't produce but water in door fine
Most of the times the solenoid ( electric valve that lets water from the line when the ice maker calls for it) leaks and this little water freezes up inside the filling tube for the ice maker , in tnis case the solenoid has to be replaced.
Testimonial: "I was able to verify that the solenoid was working correctly and that the water supply to the Ice Maker is sound. Do I replace the entire ice maker? "
