Hit a curb on the front right side need to replace Control Arm?

No,wouldn't advise in unless your very mechanically inclined!
  • It would be a good idea to replace the rim but after the fact and everything has been repaired take the vehicle to an SHOP that specializes in alignment and then you need a Four Wheel alignment it will eventually start eating the tread rapidly and will continually till the tire blows out!

There's an annoying creaking sound coming from around my right rear wheel on my 2005 Accord. I think I've identified it as the trailer arm. Is that something I can replace myself?

they are usually fairly easy to replace, remove the large bolt that holds the arm to the knuckle, then remove the 2 bolts that hold the arm to the sub frame. Just grunt work really, not too hard.

How do I replace the upper Control arms on My 1979 chevy 1/2 ton pickup. I saw a replacement control arm that has the bushings and ball joints already installed. I'm trying to save the high labor cost that...

Since the new arm comes with the bushings, there is no reason to get the tool to install them. Upper arms are relatively easy to install...just a bolt out, bolt in operation as the springs aren't involved. Support the suspension under the lower control arm to take any tension off the upper arm.

Rear Upper Control Arm

Go to Rockauto.com, click on the online catalogue. Select BMW then your year and model. Click on suspension and then control arm. When it shows you the part click on the letter "i" and it will show you a picture of the part. Also not a bad place to purchase parts, I use them all the time.

Blown out control arm bushing

Ok, these things go out every 30K miles or so b/c they were designed poorly. (My wife has one). The control arm bushings are pressed in. You will need to have the old one pressed out, and the new one pressed in. I ended up going to www.bimmerworld.com, and getting the poly urethane bushings. They don't wear out like the stock ones, and help the handling a bit. It wasn't that hard to replace them.
