Hi. i have a timex electric watch which will only tick for a few seconds when shaken .the battery seems to be fine. what else could be wrong? many thanks. mark.
Hi Mark,
It appears to be a battery problem. Have you changed the battery recently? How have you checked the battery? I suggest you check the battery's voltage, even if it is a new, replaced battery.
You need to be sure the battery is not the problem before looking elsewhere.
Need more detail if this does not help, including the model of watch. Also how long has this problem existed, and when did you notice a change - was there a specific time/event?

Yes it's the battery. Please make sure to take it to someone QUALIFIED This watch requires that all the gaskets be replaced and pressure tested at the time you have the battery replaced

SOURCE: How do I get my Timex WR50M watch out of the 24 hour (military) time and back to a 12 hour clock?
Hold down the adjust button bottom right then press the mode button top left you will notice the a or p that stands for am/pm will disappear & reappear. If you have an a or p on your display then you are out of military time.

You have to clean hairspring. Unless the hairspring is spotless, there is no way the watch will keep time. Make sure hairspring coils are even and not touching. Rate me, please.
