Step Down Voltage Converters You can use this link to find a converter that should work. There are several other sites as well. You need to get a converter with enough wattage capacity to operate the freezer. I recommend you get one with a somewhat higher wattage rating than the freezer's wattage rating. For instance if the freezer is rated at 700 watts, I would get at least a 1000 watt converter. Good Luck !!! and Bon Voyage !

Sounds like the defrost termination (stops the defrost) has failed. If you are handy you can replace the termination control yourself. The question also arises why the "Fail-Safe" on the Time Clock (takes unit out of defrost if termination control failed) did not work.
