Text when i scanned my picture its showing text doc. why?

you need to have ocr software to convert the text from a scanned image to readable text. try going to microsoft office website and downloading the software. can also try the scanner manufacturers website for it.

Try "Greyscale"  selection.in printer setup.

while scanning try reducing the DPI of the scans. this will make the image smaller in size but it will effect the picture quality very little. but do keep in mind that the dpi must be atleast 70 for better picturization

because scanned text in jpeg form and word is document form..there must be need converter jpg to doc converter. You can use omnipage .it converts jpg to doc

Scanner contains Unlock botton below it, just unlock it it will scan fine.

You don't. Scanners save everything as a Picture. Test is not text, it is a combination of thousands of dots that make up a picture. It takes an OCR and very complicated software to read text from a picture.

I got this message too, before I installed an OCR program. It may be that you need to install one (or specify it, if you have one already). With my MP610, an installation disk was included that contained the OmniPage SE program for OCR. When I installed that on my computer, and told MP Navigator (another Canon-supplied program, that controls scanning) to use it as the "Open With" program for OCR, it worked.

I would first make sure that you have latest driver update. MS Word is very particular about how it reads things back in. I would try saving the scan as a text file or PDF instead and then open them in Word. Hope this helps!
