I think your Leapster is not fully updated and sync with your PC. Try to uninstall and reinstall the LeapFrog Connect. Get the latest software from LeapFrog website instead install it from the CD provided. You may need to wait for about 10-20 minutes for the software to configuring and updating the your Leapster 2.
You have to make sure that your Cartridges is clean. Try to vacum of blow both of the cartridge hole and also the place where you put the cartridge, Sometime very small tiny dirt will makes that the cartridge cannot be recognise by the console.

I need to change names. I hooked it to computer, iT DIDNT OPEN UP EVEN THOGH IT SAID IT DOWNLOADED DRIVER. The screen on Leapster says Do Not Disconnect. I dont know what to do
We have the same problem and our leapster is only 2 days old.Do Touch
Screen Calibration,it should help.I do it everytime for my son when he
wants to play and it does help...But once u turn leapster off,u'll have
to calibrate it again next time...
Just hold down hint button while turning on.When the Leapster menu
screen appears,press the A button.Touch each of the crosshairs that
appear with the stylus.restart unit. ..That what we do everytime.
