FCM5DRWH power lights blinks a lot now and I noticed panel loose. I bought it six months ago and it wasn't loose then. It still seems to be freezing, but I had a 2-yera-old Haier did the same thing before it quit.

If you are talking about an external light, it is most likely a neon indicator light that tells whether you have lost power to the unit. Blinking is normal with age or power fluctuations.
Freezers have an electric motor within to pump the freezer gas around. Its possible the movement has caused a problem. Get ban appliance shop or tech to check it out.
It looks like a bad ignition switch or capacitor. This is not that expensive. Probably not the compressor. Unfortunately, one small part stops the whole show.have a friend who is a tech look at it.
Sounds more like a neutral fault if you have power there but no lights are working. Check each wire from the plug to the junction in the cabinet, then check to the lights and thermostat. Unless you have a capacitance tester, you need to substitute a good capacitor in line to see if the compressor starts. If it was the capacitor at fault, the compressor would be trying to start every 5 mins or so and would be hot to the touch.
try a total defrost,to clear any internal ice(every 12 months)then switch on and if you have a rapid freeze button leave on for 24 hours to get back to normal operating temp.if you have hard ice around the door seals then you have an air leak which you must sort out(try using a hot cloth to warm seals back into shape.....seals should fit all round, all the time.
I believe you freezer has sprung a Freon leak. You described it and if it changes levels is a way of measuring what Freon you have remaining. Sometimes they can be repaired it depends on how they were built. Hope you did not loose much food, Sea Breeze
If it is a new freezer and it is plugged in and the control is turned on the power light should also be lit. After six hour of operation it should be cooled down. Call the place you purchased it from and tell them the problem. It is possible that you got a defective unit.
