Machine eats bobbin thread

I was sewing this morning on my janome 7330 magnolia machine this morning just fine when in the middle of it all it seeme to freeze up. upon further inspection it appeared that the bobbin thread had gotten stuck in side the machine. i rethreaded my needle, and redid my bobbin, this time the machine only allowed 2 stitches before it did it again. i opened up the metal plate to look inside. i cleaned out all the visible thread fuzz and re threaded it again. again after just 2 stitches it froze up again, it looks as though the machine is eating the bobbin thread.

Try changing your needle. Sometimes, the tiniest bend will affect the way the bobbin is feeding.

Do I oil a janome magnolia 7330?

If it is a computerized machine, oil only as instructed in the owner's manual.

If it is mechanical, a drop of good quality sewing machine oil ever place where metal rubs against metal.

Why will my presser foot not stay up.

It seems like something is loose as you already know. Take it to a dealer and they can fix it for you.

My janome magnolia was working just fine and then all of the sudden the bobbin thread keeps knotting up. i've gone over all troubleshooting, cleaned out the lint, replaced the bobbin - all to no avail......

This happened to me on several occasions and finally one service tech told me not to use the needle down auto button. Instead when threading the bobbin just move the wheel toward you slowly until the thread catches.

if you have a manual the information should be in it, if you don't have a manual
here is a link for a manual, but it's not free,

if you don't want to buy a manual,, then contact janome customer service and ask them if you can oil the sewing machine yourself or if it's a self oiling sewing machine..

I have a Janome Magnolia 7330. How do you open it up to clean and oil it?

If it is computerized, they are generally sealed so they cannot be opened by the user. There are computerized components that could easily be damaged. The manual should have instructions how to maintain your machine. AVOID using compressed air as it tends to push lint and dirt further into the machine where only a technician can clean.

I have a Janome Magnolia 7330. The bobbin thread will not be drawn up.

The easiest solution would be to change your needle. They do wear out, get bent, etc, and that makes it difficult for them to pick up the bobbin thread. If you did just change the needle, there was a hint here on FixYa about being sure to face the needle correctly. If you feel the needle, there will be a flat side and a curved side. Check your owner's manual to see which side should face which direction.

Newly bought Magnolia 7330 and the needle thread keeps breaking. I took it back to the place of purchase and they said it is working fine...watched me thread correctly. I've changed thread, needles and...

This sounds silly, but I have the same machine and it kept happening to me too. Here's what I was doing wrong: When I thread it between 6 (thread take-up lever) and 7 (lower thread guide), the thread was being left exposed on the face of the machine instead of falling into that little **** of a crevice. One I figured out to stick it in the **** of the crevice, all was well. Try that -- and good luck!
