Printing print on page is getting progressively lighter within a day- as much as turning frum plum to pink. now part of a "Z" is so light it looks like it isn't even there. I went throught the auto cleaning deals on the printer-nozzle check, head cleaninghead alignment

have you tried cleaning the charging wire and the transfer belt

Had a Dell do something similar. Never did find out what the problem was, just would come and go. I'd try pulling out all removable parts (toners, drums, fuser (after it cools), etc, then reseat it all. Or sned back for warranty if possible.

Put paper in the manual feed tray. Print. When the page gets half way into the printer, open the cover. Remove the toner. Look down at the paper. Is the right side lighter than the left? If yes, replace the toner cartridge. I don't believe that a fuser could cause your problem.

The narrow pink line is coming from your magenta toner/drum cartridge. You may be able to open the from cover and look at the 4 toners. If you look at the magenta (like pink) cartridge, you might see the thin line on the drum surface.
The multicolored band that sometimes shows up on your prints is most likely the transfer belt unit. This is caused by an area of the belt that is not being cleaned very well. This probably tends to show up when you are running mutilple prints of a page.
So it looks like to may need to replace your magenta toner and look at getting a transfer belt unit.

This is a problem with your paper. Using multi-part forms on an impact printer will get lighter print on each layer working from the top form to the bottom. The "carbon" paper has to impact the paper hard enough to make the marks. If your top and bottom copies look good but some in the middle are light it is a problem with the "carbon" paper and not the printer.
Now IF the top page is light and each copy under that is getting lighter then you need to close your platen gap (the lever on the right side of the machine mark A B C) go one click at a time (darkening) until the print quality looks good (or you go too far and it pinches the paper and jams *not good*)

Do you see the color cartridge icon in the progress window being low ?. Or do you get an low ink warning dialog when you print a job. First try cleaning the cartridges if that doesnt help, you may need to replace your color cartridge.

This is a very common problem with this model printer, it is caused by toner on the scanner mirrors. You need to clean the scanner assembly unfortunately it isn't very easy to dissemble the printer to get to it.
