Whirlpool microwave reset button - Whirlpool MH1140XM Microwave Oven

On this microwave, you just need to enter the correct cooking time and power level. This will clear the previous time and power level that you entered. (This works since you need to use the Options button to do multi-stage cooking.)

There is no reset. Depending on age of unit it may be more cost effective to buy an new rather than repair. Microwaves keep falling in price.

Hello Art. If you want to reset your Microwave, we would recommend resetting it by shutting it off from the circuit breaker for at least a minute.

Please post the model number of the microwave for more detailed assistance. Sounds like a fuse in the microwave shorted out. Most likely caused by a bad door switch. Recommend replacing all door switches that are there and then replace fuse.

Usually one presses the control panel Off/Reset button, presses the clock button, enters the time (eg. 710 for 7:10) and presses the clock button again.

My whirlpool microwave hasn't worked sice powers outage. Is there usually a reset button or fuse, somewhere

To my knowledge none have a reset button or circuit breaker. If the unit is total dead there will be (has to be) a fuse inside the unit.

No reset bottom on that model of microwave, when they go out they just stop, throw it away and pur these a new one

I was pressing one too many buttons.

Press Clock, then Stop, press in the 24 hour time digits, then press Clock again.

Bought a new microwave :-(
