Question about Frigidaire Freezers
Frigidaire Model No. LFFU14F5HWA
Hi Loretta, I am happy to assist you!
Based on the symptoms you are describing, it sounds like your freezer may possibly have a communication problem with the control board, a potential wiring failure, or faulty temperature control. Before reaching out to a professional, let's try resetting your freezer. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping off the circuit breaker. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes. If it proves ineffective, In this regard, I would suggest contacting an Authorized Service Technician that will be able to assist you in the exact diagnosis of the appliance.

First make sure you have a good 9v battery installed. If it is ok then the problem will probably be in the display board or the wiring connectors between the boards. CE is communication error. If your model has the electronic tempature control instead of mechanical thermostat the problem could be in there. My bet is a bad connection at display board.

the temperature control is bad. when you push the fast freeze it bypasses the thermostat for 12-24 hours depending on which model you have. I am not able to find any parts information with the model number provided but you should be able to find a temperature control at any local appliance parts house or online thru any reputable supplier. SOURCE: Door alarm light is on
The open door alarm is triggered by the small switch that also triggers the internal lighting. This is easy to test: open the door and press the switch - on a normal one the light should go off.

Hello grega1959 - If the temperature of food rises to an unsafe level, the buzzer will sound and the red light, if equipped, will also glow. First, deactivate the alarm to the unit. This can be done by either by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on the freezer. After deactivating the alarm and the unit has run approximately four hours, the red light/alarm should go off on its own. If the red light/alarm continues to stay on, the freezer may possibly have a communication problem with the temperature control, control board, or a wiring harness. If this is the case, I would recommend connecting with a professional appliance tech for a clear-cut diagnosis.
