SOURCE: very low sound acer aspire 5611

I have had that problem quite often. Then I usually make use of the EQ settings in the AUDIO program to BOOST the sound.

SOURCE: I own Aspire 7720, the max volume setting is real

first thing try to hook it up to external speakers see if you gain any volume that way. this would make the difference if it was the sound card or a short in your speakers if this doesn't work......
go to the manufactures site and get the latest driver available, this all could very well be the product of a corrupted driver, so here are the steps to take

What you want to do is go to device manager:

  • Start Button
  • Control panel
  • system & security
  • system
  • device manager
you might not have to go through that many steps, but get to the device manager find the tab for audio and then right click and uninstall your audio device. after you do that do a restart so any remnants are removed.
When you log back into Windows it will say it found the new device and this is when you install the driver you just obtained. try these steps and you should see some results, if not your issue is deeper than a software glitch, let me know what you find and then we will take it from there

Volume very quiet on aspire e1-531

Right click the speaker icon in the task bar (or choose Control Panel : Sound).
- Select Playback Tab : Speakers : Properties.
- Select Enhancements Tab.
- Uncheck the Loudness Equalization box and click apply.

Volume should now be substantially louder.
Modifying Equalizer and Environment settings may also provide a boost.

Cannot locate built in microphone. Skype cannotg access my sound card.

Have you checked in volume control that your mike is listed and is not muted. sorry, that is volume control/mixer.
You should also enter the sounds/ audio control section of your machine and ensure that microphone is there and is listed and ticked as an input device.

The sound on my hitatchi tv is on max but is still very quiet

Hi! The problem could be on the volume control. Even the volume is high it doesn't deliver the right volume. You will need to have it replaced to resolve this. Hope this helps and thank you for using FIxYa!

No sound

Make sure your sound button isn't on mute and the volume is all the way up. Make sure if there in a volume button on your headphones that it is not muted or played really quietly.

Acer Aspire 5630 - Low speaker volume, poor quality, OS=Vista

It's likely that the speakers are blown out if it's quiet and making a crackling sound. To fix that, the speakers can be replaced or you can use external speakers.
