Question about Omega Trane Furnace Draft Inducer Blower 115 Volt Variable Speed Fasco # A190
I have a Trane XE 90 that was installed in Feb 2001. Yesterday, it stopped producing heat. This morning I checked my breaker box and saw that the furnace breaker had tripped. I reset the breaker and checked the diagnostic codes. The LED flashed 5 times, then flashed 9 times repeatedly. I replaced the Igniter (code 9), but the furnace does not come on and the LED still flashes code 9'', after initially flashing code 5. The blower does come on and runs continuously (I think it is the blower that circulates air thru the ducts. Any suggestions? It still gets cold at night in northern Ohio. Thanks.
THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR SWITCHES, MY FIRST ANSWER WOULD BE REPLACE THE SWITCH SECOND WOULD BE OPEN THE DOOR AND PUSH THE BUTTON IN AND SEE IF THE FURNACE WILL WORK. THIS SWITCH IS JUST A DOOR SAFTEY IF THIS WORKS. I HAVE TAPED A PIECE ON THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR WHERE THE SWITCH WILL HIT THE DOOR ABOUT A 1/4 INCH THICK AND SEE IF THIS WILL GET YOU RUNNING UNTILL YOU CAN GET A SWITCH
