Re: SF5100 DOES NOT TRANSMIT ALL THE TIME
There maybe 1000's of reasons for this but the most common is that the ECM mode is turned on (ECM =Error Correction Mode) turn this off and try. There is one other common fault try doing a copy of a document and see if that come out ok. If you are getting the same fault the scanner unit is faulty and will need replacing.

How do you know brake pedal positioning sensor needs to be replaced ? Traction light on ? DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's stored . That's why cruise won't engage . Taking your vehicle to a qualified repair shop an having it diagnosed is what you should do.
Cruise Control Inhibited
The engine control module (ECM) inhibits the cruise control operation when any of the following conditions exist:
• The ECM has not detected a brake pedal activation from the body control module (BCM).
• A Cruise Control System DTC has been set.
• The vehicle speed is less than 40.2 km/h (25 mph).
• The vehicle speed is too high.
• The vehicle is in PARK, REVERSE, NEUTRAL, or 1st gear.
• The engine RPM is too low.
• The engine RPM is too high.
• The system voltage is not between 9-16 volts.
• The Antilock Brake System (ABS)/Traction Control System (TCS) is active for more than 2 seconds.
Do the stop lamps work ?
DTC P0703 Brake Switch Circuit 2
The body control module (BCM) monitors the brake pedal position sensor. When the brake pedal is applied, the BCM detects a predetermined voltage signal. The BCM sends a GMLAN serial data message to the powertrain control module (PCM) indicating the status of the stop lamps.
DTC P1574 Stop Lamp Switch Circuit
The stop lamp switch signal circuit is a direct hardwire input to the throttle actuator control (TAC) module from the body control module (BCM). The TAC module monitors the stop lamp switch signal circuit in order to detect when the brake pedal has been applied. When the brake pedal is pressed, the BCM sends a GMLAN serial data message to the powertrain control module (PCM) indicating that the brake pedal has been applied. The BCM also sends a high voltage signal on the stop lamp switch signal circuit to the TAC module. The TAC module sends a universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART) serial data message to the PCM indicating that a brake pedal application has occurred. The PCM will compare the UART serial data message and the GMLAN serial data message in order to confirm that both serial data messages match.
If it only happens with that one vendor, the problem is almost certainly either on their end or somewhere in the interaction between the two fax machines.
The most likely answer is that their fax machine has a problem receiving some pages (either because the line is noisy or for another reason) so it has to reprint them. You could tell your vendor to try turning off error correction on their fax machine and see if that makes a difference.
this "bringing you back to your own homepage" thing happens to me occasionaly. I would try, restarting the computer. If that doesn't work, wait a little while, it usually fixes itself, and seems to be more of a problem with FB that with what you are doing. If it continues, email the support staff at FB and explain the problem.
We have had the same problem. I have found that if I close all windows not being used on the computer, then try to print the document again the entire document prints. This happens on an older computer we have that doesn't have alot of RAM.
Thank you for this info. I used your advice to fix my HP printer and it worked. By the way, great link to HP support parges on the www.partshere.com site. I was able to fix my printer and by the way purchased more printer parts and fusers. Thank you again!
It sounds like you have a bad scanner. Depending on the age of the machine it may be under warrany. Even if it is not, I would call Brother and complain. I know in the past, they did have some scanner issues that they wewre covering even past the warranty period. Their number is 1-800-284-4357. Good luck
Try cleaning your heads with appropriate solution. Then, cancel all print jobs. Try again. If it does the same i would turn it off, inplug all the cables, replug all and turn on. Try again. If still no good, completely unistall printer then reinstall it. Try once more. Good luck
