If your Ricoh MPC 2011 is printing or copying blank pages when trying to print or copy in black and white, it is possible that the toner cartridge is either empty or defective. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the toner level: Check the toner level in the printer to ensure that it is not empty or low.
Replace the toner cartridge: If the toner level is low, try replacing the toner cartridge with a new one to see if that resolves the issue.
Clean the printer: Dust and debris can sometimes accumulate inside the printer, which can affect print quality. Try cleaning the printer to remove any dirt or debris that may be interfering with the printing process.
Check the settings: Make sure that the printer settings are configured correctly for black and white printing.
If none of these steps work, it may be necessary to contact a printer technician for further assistance.
[Cause] This may be caused by the Toner ID switch, that contacts the ID PWB on the Toner Bottle. The Toner ID switch has 4 wire contacts, if one of the contacts become crossed over this error may occur.
[Action]
Uncross and straighten the contacts.
If issue remains replace ID Chip Connector Harness [Part Number: G102 1120].
Is it a genuine Ricoh Toner or a equivalent refill, if it is the latter then my machine would say empty when actually full. Just keep on using the machine, and have another toner on stand by.
If its a genuine Ricoh toner suggest the machine needs a clean around where the built in (toner) chip is located.
There is no toner collection bottle for the 350, used toner is stored in the transfer belt unit. It must be pulled from the machine disassembled then empty used toner reassemble and put back in machine, a counter must also be reset, cant remember which sp code this is though.
Did you follow the instuctions to shake gently then remove all tags prior to placing the toner? Is it a toner/drum unit. look underneath if theres a green drum. After market toner will not work.
do not use ohp film in this device as it will jam due to the use of optical paper sensors unless your ohp has a paper backing. you can set up the bypass tray for thick paper type to increase fuser temp to get better fusing etc
It sounds like the part the toner bottle slides under to lock in place is broken. you could try and fold some paper and tape it to the toner to hold it down.
Unfortunately the newer ricoh equipment may include a chip like the HP toner. This allows the printer to track the usage so the printer can "intelligently" determine how much toner remains in the bottle. The chip overides all other factors on the remaining toner. Hence, if the chip "thinks" that the toner bottle has little or no toner left, it will give you a false toner low message. Presently, you can only replace the toner with a new bottle.
