Well technically 2 ports can be on the same circuit even if there split. Since you cant use both at once it makes since it would work for either or or. I am confused on your problem. answer these for me please?
why did you need a splitter if you have 2 HDMI imputs?
what are you pluging in into the t.v?
I look forward to helping you.

Testimonial: "2 inputs are not simply not enough these days everything is hdmi now. It's the same with my other 2 rooms tv's people need more than 2 hdmi inputs at least my newest smart tv has 3 , for this one though i sometimes used a sky box, x box 360, ps3, ps4, hdmi pc, apple tv, i did not use scart cables as scart quality is terrible especially with sky,i could use vga for a pc if needed but ps4 is hdmi only. Anyways basically the hdmi switch did not work properly but now no hdmi input will work but the leads are ok and the av settings on tv are ok. Looks like the hdmi board must be faulty now in the tv if there is a separate board it was a dear enough tv when bought about 5/6 years ago but i can only imagine my anger if this switch had did this to my main 50" in the livingroom these cheaper switches should be banned if they can damage tv's :("

    I eould go ahead and see if you can find the switches on line and see if people are having the same problem.

Devant tv using vga splitter dual

Using a VGA splitter to connect a laptop to a Devant TV can work, but it's important to note a few things:
1. **VGA Splitter Compatibility:** Ensure that the VGA splitter you're using supports the resolution and frequency of both your laptop and the Devant TV. Some cheaper splitters might not support higher resolutions, resulting in a lower quality display.
2. **Connection Setup:** Connect the VGA output from your laptop to the input of the VGA splitter. Then connect the two outputs of the splitter to the VGA inputs on the Devant TV.
3. **Settings on Laptop:** On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Displays. Ensure that the display settings are configured to extend or mirror the display to the external monitor (TV). You might need to detect displays or choose the appropriate resolution settings here.
4. **TV Input Source:** On your Devant TV, select the correct input source where you've connected the VGA cable.
5. **Signal Quality:** Be aware that using a VGA splitter might degrade the signal slightly, potentially impacting the quality of the display on both screens.
Remember that VGA is an analog signal and may not deliver the highest quality resolution compared to more modern digital standards like HDMI. If both your laptop and TV have HDMI ports, using an HDMI cable might result in a better quality connection.

My cable box is hooked up but no signal can u tell me whats wrong

If you hookup your TV directly to the coaxial cable, bypassing the cable-box, do you get a few channels? If so, then the coaxial cable is carrying a signal, which is good.

How are you hooking the output from the cable-box to the input(s) on the TV? Coaxial output port on box to coaxial input port on TV?
Red/blue/green "component" outputs on box to matching inputs on TV? Red/White audio outputs on box to red/white inputs on TV? HMDI output from box to HDMI input on TV?

You have to "tell" the TV which of the inputs:
* coaxial (with TV set to Channel 3 or 4)
* component
* HDMI
to "listen" to.

How do I cable this connection please?

It depends what input connection the second TV has available. You cannot directly daisy chain HDMI cable from Apple TV to the two TVs assuming both have HDMI input. But you can purchase an HDMI 1x2 splitter and connect the 3 up provided the 2nd TV also has HDMI. The challenge maybe the distance you can have between the two TVs. Max is 15 meter but you could cascade 2 units to create longer distances.

I am trying to connect my new apple tv to my panasonic bt205 ht and then to my samsung tv. As I have only i HDMI socket in my Ht I bought a HDMI splitter. This doesn't seen to work. If I connect the...

The BT205 only has a HDMI Out so you need to connect both your BT205 and Apple TV to your TV either directly or through your splitter (depending how many HDMI Inputs your TV has).

You then need to connect either the Digital or Analogue Audio Port from your Apple TV to your BT205 and select the Audio Output from your BT205 as detailed on Page 27 of the manualat the link below.

http://tda.panasonic-europe-service.com/docs/2z4e3b157ez3z2a0dbz656ez706466z21z3703f025f4fa80ffdb9e5a7957895ca96b778f45/tsn2/data/ALL/SCBT205/OI/812908/rqt9445-b.pdf

This will give you the picture from your Apple TV to your TV via the HDMI and the Apple TV sound to your BT205 via the Audio Port.

Sony Viao HDMI to Panasonic Plasma TV HDMI Input handshake

Try all of your HDMI inputs, one may be rated at the correct voltage to be able to display the video. The offical part that Panasonic was giving for this was PDPHDMIKIT, its basically a HDMI extender that regulates the voltage. The part is still available online, try partstore.com or andrews-electronics.
