Double print on screen

I turned on the set and now I get a blue double print or shadow of everything.  Sound is fine.  TV is 6yrs old

    we are also having the same problem and tv is 6yrs old. we tried to line up the vertical blue line to the yellow but it won't move!! any ideas????

I have the exact same problem with my six year old Samsung!  Your are the third person I have seen with this problem today.  This is too weird.  i wish i could help, then I would be able to fix my TV too.

I have a sony kp 48s and there seems to be a blue shadow on the picture?? i've tried everything in the settings to fix it but it just seems like a manufacture malfunction?
You probably need to get a Sony TV Convergence Kit. More information can be found using the link below.

Convergence Symptoms:
  • Screen Looks Distorted/3D
  • Colors wont align
  • Screen may look distorted
  • No Audio/Video - makes a chirping sound.

Lost entire picture, sound and everything else OK
check the invertor boards resistors they power the back lights
also check for any capactors that have blown (raised tops) they look little bateries

My tv is almost 6yrs old and all of a sudden the picture is blury almost showing double images. The color is also of at the top and bottom of the screen.
this is typic old projection tv, some tecnical ajust parameters have reset, so if you can adjust,this settings on service menu on tv, or ask for help on local repair store, to calibrate scren.

There is a slight buzzing sound on my TV
its the tv dude cuz i put the yellow white and red on a small old sony tv and it made the same noise and everything but then i changed it into another t.v. about 73 inches and it worked fine with an hdmi change the t.v.

everything fine got further advice, its a convergence blow out.
TV Already on its way back to shop, replacement already in place.
Although Im not holding my breath, I have heard that Wharfedale hav megga defects
And lots of people dont rate them. Thanks for the reply...Soulsister

TV PROBLEMS
If the images are different colors (red,green,blue) then the convergence has diverged. Some TV allow re-convergence through the menu screen, older sets my need to be physically adjusted (aimed) to clear this up. a strong knock to the TV may have cause this.

Blue shadows/ghosts
how old is the tv ??
if this tv is older than 5 years it may need to refill the liquid on the proyection bulbs and/or could have contaminats in the fluid causing the ghost and to fix that you will need a professional person to do it

Panasonic PT-51HX41 rear projection tv showing shadow/double images.
Unplug the TV from the ac wall outlet for about 4 minutes then plug it back in and turn it on. If it still has a double image then tell me if it's affecting the menu screen from the TV (not the cable menu). And is the double image in red and blue?
