Description:
This error code appears when the power supply detects a low spike
(e.g. due to a temporary loss of tension). There is nothing wrong
with the Printer.
Corrective Action: Re-boot the Printer and the error code should not appear again.
NOTE If the error code appears again, try connecting the Printer to a
different power socket.

If this is a Kenwood, then Error 99 means the following:

• E-99: Changer malfunction, disc may be caught in machine or changer requires service.

Before replacing the unit try disconnecting battery for two minutes (ensure you have car anti theft code). If that does not work, then the unit must be taken apart, there is a disk stuck or a mechanical problem.

Regarding replacement, to find one you need to post details on make and model. Ebay is a good source for second hand factory replacemnts. Here a generic list.

The problem is the ribbon cable,the one connects the face to the main board,if you live in USA you can order it from pacparts.com or sony.com.
For replace it you will need to open the unit and open the face by moving manually the gears,then remove the side screws of the face and remove face,then remove the cd mech. you will see the ribbon connector.Just replaced and put everthing back togheter.
