Aqualink Chlorine Generator not producing any chlorine

I recently (1month ago) replaced the generator cell (T-CELL-15) and now I don't see any chlorine being generated in my pool. I've use home kits as well as taken it to a pool store for testing with same results.
The display on the Aqualink says, it is generating chlorine and everything is fine. All my pool chemistry is fine too.
It has been set at 85% generation, salt level is at 3400 and I've run the chlorinator for 24 hours at a stretch now.. but yet, not chlorine.
I've called Hayvard and they say it is generating chlorine since the display says it is.
Any suggestions, pointers?

It shounds like that you might have a mustard algae issue. It feeds on chlorine. It is possible that your unit is producing chlorine but the algae is consuming it as fast as it can be made. You will need to do a shock treatment and use an Algae 30. It could be something else, but this is likely. You can google mustard algate treatments and read up on it to see if you have other symptoms.

24' X 52" intex pool, I am having trouble with my cholinator not producing chlorine in the water. there are no signals or lights flashing. but when I test for the free chlorine on the strips is do

If you can remove your generator try and bench test it. Fill with pool water and do a chlorine test. Run the generator for a few minutes, unit should produce bubbles when the cells are turned on. Run another chlorine test and make sure it is higher than original test. You should also test your combined chlorines to make sure you don't have excess chloramines in the water. Also check for any buildup on the generator plates which should be acid washed, and verify salt concentration.
