My oven has no power going to it. Flipping the breaker back doesn't work.

I have a microwave that trips the breaker switch often. When this happens the oven doesn't turn back on when you flip the switch back. I already had a repairman come out and he said that he just flipped the switch and it turned back on. But, it happened again and when I flip the switch the oven doesn't turn back on. ?

SOURCE: Door locked after power surge/failure

The question here is how long did you leave the breaker off? Gaggenau ovens have a memory and I always advise turn the oven off for 5 mins before turning the breaker back on. Give that a try. The first thing the oven does when the power is reapplied is go thru a test phase which included locking and unlocking the door. The key symbol will go on and off during this. Sometimes you have to also can run a self clean then cancel it to reset the lock. This works as well.

Sounds like the door monitor switch, which would take out the internal ceramic fuse. I'd replace those two plus the primary and secondary door safety interlock switches.

When the oven goes into clean mode the door is automatically locked as a safety feature. I would put it back into clean mode again, let it clean for a while and then hopefully when it cools down the door will open. good luck .

SOURCE: My thermador oven tells me error code 14

Sometimes you can unplug the unit for at least 30 minutes and reset the unit and it wont do it again.Try that first. An error code on a thermador of 14 means latch switch problems.

Why is my Kitchenaid double oven tripping my main breaker when both are on at the same time?

Read off the power consumption of each oven and other equipment being fed from the cooker supply and have an electrician check the size of your cooker feed cable and main cooker breaker.
If the cable is not thick enough for the oven, you cannot increase the breaker size!
The breaker may of course be faulty, measure the current draw as the brealer trips.

The control panel on my oven doesn't seem to be working. I pressing COOKING MODE for 5 seconds and nothing happens. The display just blinks once in a while.

In the power panel on your house. There are two circuit breakers with their handles joined. One of these breakers has tripped internally which will stop the heating elements but not the control panel or oven light since they work on 120 volts. Reset the breaker or replace it.

Hi, I have a belling electric oven and separate grill. The two hobs on the left don't work, the grill doesn't work and the front elements in the oven itself has stopped. Is it fixable? Thanks.

Go to the circuit breaker location on your house and locate the one for the oven. Try flipping it on and off a couple of times. If the breaker only supplies 120 volts the heating elements won't work but the light and clock will. If resetting the circuit breaker fixes the problem, it will happen again, so replace the breaker to do a permanent fix.

Electrolux EOU5330X Ultrafan Electric Double Oven -

Sounds to me like the lower element shorted and tripped the breaker as it burned out. If you're handy at electrical troubleshooting that's where I'd start - comparing ohmmeter readings between the bad element and the one that works.

A wire short to the chassis would have a similar set of symptoms and be easier to find and fix.

Beyond that, you need a service tech.

The oven trip switch was tripped last night. After I swirched the switch back on the oven won't work. The lights and the stove are both working and the gigital screen is working.

If you were using the oven at the time it is likely that a short circuit occurred in the element causing the circuit breaker to trip. After switching it back on the oven wont work. You probably need to replace the element.
The switch may have tripped for another reason. If it did when you turned the power back on the electronic clock/timer generally reverts to the auto. function. You need to set the clock/timer back to manual so that the oven will work.

The display panel is blank, and none of the buttons work. It had been working earlier in the day, but is no longer functioning. Is there a breaker button?

Hi, Check to see if there are any lights working, such as the ones that come on when you open the oven doors. If there is absolutely no power going to the unit, check the household circuit breaker panel that services the oven.
An oven works at 240 volts so the circuit breaker for it will be a double breaker, similar to the ones
electric water heaters or air conditioning units. It may have tripped. If it is tripped, then
the lever connecting the two sides of the breaker will not line up with other breaker switches in the
breaker panel. If that is the case, shut down the breaker completely and then after about 10 seconds,
turn it back on. If it will not stay on, there is an electrical problem in the circuit going to the oven or the oven itself. Hope this helps. Let me know if your need more help.
Best,

Oven will not heat when turned on

Hi. Check to make sure the electrical breaker is not tripped. Find the breaker box and inside you will find several black switched called "breakers" and you possibly may have one that is in the center position, indicating it has been "tripped". To resolve this, flip the switch to the "OFF" position then back to on. See if your oven heats now. If not heating, unplag the stove, wait 5 minutesm then plug it back in and see if it heats. If still no heat, most likely the power came back on with a slight "surge" and may have damaged the control board for the oven. If that is the case, you will need to have the oven serviced. Thanks and hope this helps!

KEMC308 has frozen, unusual looking display info. Nothing works.

Try unplugging it or flipping the breaker to the oven. Leave the power off to it for a minute, then turn it back on.

Basic elec oven indicator light tripped electrics??

Should be safe to use, but it sounds as if a number of things are going on. First the breaker tripping is a sign that too much of a strain on power is happening. If all oven elements are on and the oven at say 450 is tripping the breaker, make sure that grease has not gotten into the elements, and that they are in good shape. The breaker or chord or outlet may be going bad. You need to visually inspect all
