My Ecco TV is playing but the problem is pic is not clear it's dark . Please help

The screen may become dark if Picture mode is set to Cinema or Custom. If the screen continues to remain dark after changing the picture quality mode, go to the Backlight, Picture, Brightness menu and adjust the brightness to your liking. When Power Saving is fixed to Low or High, the screen becomes dark. Some TVs have a Light Sensor so the picture will just become brighter or darker depending on the lighting in the room.
You can also try programming from a different source, like a DVD player or VCR to check whether the problem is caused by the device that sends the signal to the TV.

I need to know how to hook up DVD player with Cable TV I have the cable with the white yellow and red. I hook one end into the TV and one into the DVD player. I don't get a pic or sound. I do not havethe...

The key is having at least a Universal Remote ($10.00 or less) that will operate your brand of TV. Your TV is only looking at "stations". You need to make it see Aux-1, Aux-2, or Line In mode. BUT, another trick is to run the DVD into your VCR (if capable). Select the VCR proper "input mode" (Aux-1, Aux-2, or Line In mode) then the DVD will play through the VCR and it will play through the TV on either channel 3 or 4. Problem solved!

Don't have manuel and don't know how to Set up Hitachi VCR

Such a simple job. First check if the cables are connecred properly
1. Audio OUT from VCR to AUDIO IN of TV.
2. Video OUT from VCR to VIDEO IN of TV

Then switch the TV ON. Select 'Video' on the TV/Video
selection button on the TV's remote control.
Your TV screen will show a display like 'Video' or 'AV'
Play a cassette and you should be able to see the picture...
Happy Viewing.
