That model dose not appear to have one. I own an earlier one it doen't either.

Check that the LCD screen adjustment has not been dimmed or darkened. If that is not the case, then a component is or has most likely failed.

The original LCD panel, X58177013, includes the back light. None of my sources list this part as in stock and the panel has a cost of $400 or more. http://www.baystateoffice.com/lcd-assy-pc7500-x58177013/ lists the part as available for special order. Alternatively, you could try taking apart the panel after removing it from the sewing machine. Then measure the current backlight size (length/diameter) and then ordering the matching size lights. Then reassemble the panel sandwich and reinstall it in the sewing machine.

Since this is a computer sewing machine, I don't recommend trying to repair this unless you have good tech skills. Since used Galaxie 895 models are cheaper than the LCD panel, it may be better to replace the sewing machine.

I had a Scan n Sew several years ago...the rabbit means you are not moving the scanner fast enough. The turtle means to slow down. Or it could be reverse? Sorry it's been a long time.
