If you cant figure out how to open it I wouldn't recommend you trying to rewire it, take it to a repair shop or ask your local friendly electrician.

Call there technical support line, it may be the wrong motor. if not they are very good about taking you step by step on the rewire.

More important though is the condition of the insulation of the original wiring--insulation of wires was commonly natural rubber which decays over time. If you can bend a wire that has insulation and the insulation cracks/breaks off of the wire, then strongly suggest that the entire unit be rewired with modern fixture-insulated wire. If you have a vise, put the end in to and you want to just squeeze it so you can get to the 2 tabs inside and using 2 flat blade screwdrivers, pry outward and the hose should come out of the cuff. Sometimes you can just cut and rewire, but watch and match colored wires to the right colors, mix them up and you would have a electrical mess. When you put it back together, push the cuff down until you hear it snap into place.
