I can't get my humidifier to get the humidity to get over 17% and the dial is set at 30% it goes to 20% and flashes

Without brand and model, my advice is definitely a shot in the dark. Only your manual or your manufacturer's site can inform you of what the flashing means.

Here are some tips that might help you increase the humidity in your room:

Check the humidifier's water level: Make sure that the humidifier has enough water to function properly. If the water level is low, the humidifier may not be able to produce enough moisture to increase the humidity in the room.

Clean the humidifier: Over time, mineral deposits and bacteria can build up in the humidifier, which can affect its performance. Clean the humidifier regularly according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Place the humidifier in the right location: Place the humidifier in a central location in the room, away from walls and other obstructions. This will help the humidifier distribute moisture evenly throughout the room.

Use a humidistat: A humidistat is a device that measures the humidity in the room and automatically adjusts the humidifier's output to maintain a desired humidity level. If your humidifier does not have a built-in humidistat, you can purchase a separate one and use it to control the humidity level in the room.

The night light turns on, nothing else works.

check the humidastat, its the setting on how much humidity you want . your supposed to turn on to high speed for a couple of minutes and then switch to low to keep filter wet. the humidity level will affect the on and off operation. other than that test the plug with another appliance such as a lamp to see if plug is good, the night light will work for awhile without power for some reason.

Our Aprilaire is over 14 years old. Two

If your humidifier is working properly, then the problem lies outside of the humidifier. For example how long does your furnance run when the thermostat calls for heat? If your furnace is oversized for your home, it will heat your home relatively quickly, and turn off, while your humidifier does not have a chance to work long enough for it to increase the humidity. If this is the case, you could try to set the thermostat to run the fan in manual mode instead of automatic. This will give the humidifier a chance to increase the humidity.

Hope this helps.

Aprilaire 600 humidity level too low

you may try running your blower 100% of the time.this should allow the humidifier to stay on even when your not heating. once the humidity level gets to where you want it, you may be able to put the fan selector back to auto. also you mentioned you have a variable blower. this is great if it is set up to run at approx. 20% fan speed when it is not heating or cooling. at 20% you can circulate enough air through the house to humidify without being able to hear the noise of the blower. it will really increase the comfort level of the house if you tend to have hot and cool spots. if it was not set up this way, contact the installer and ask if they can do this for you.

No increase in humidity after installing whole house humidifier

have you checked the damper ? is the motor running the right direction ? have you increased the water supply to it ? you need to be sure that it is coming on only when you have a call for heat, normally your humidistat should be installed near the return, or on the return duct, for proper sensing, you could try holding a pan of steaming water, placing the stat above it, not to close, to see if the stat shuts off the hum, a little trick, that way you will know if the stat works ok, hope these helped, thanks for the question, mr.grzz

Aprilaire 500 - Everything works, but humidity will not increase!

You should take out that aprilaire and throw it in the garbage or return it to who you got it from. Ask them why they didn't offer you the best humidifiers available. The only way to truly control humidity in your home without running your heat is a steam humidifier. Autoflo makes a good one also honeywell makes a new one. I have installed a honeywell tru steam in my own home and a few customers it hasn't lived up to its advertising. The auto flo has never given me any problems with customers.

Install HE220 HoneyWell , humidity not increasing in the house.

You can try installing the water line to your hot water if it is installed on cold line for more humidification. You should make sure your humidistat is up line 6" @least from humidifier for proper humidification measurement.
