Official Yahoo! Messenger only allow one login on one computer. If you want to sign in with multiple accounts, try KarooLark web messenger: http://karoolark.com/ . It support multiple login for Yahoo! messenger and others.

There are two ways to get it done =) :

1. Simply create a new e-mail. When logging in through YM using the e-mail's ID & password created, it will automatically be verified.
2. Create alias, which means creating multiple YM IDs using the SAME e-mail address :

I'm not sure if Yahoo messenger has the specific ability to log in to two accounts simultaniously. If you don't mind using another client to log into your Yahoo account, there are a lot of third party messaging clients (Trillian, Pidgin, Spark, Meebo, etc) that will let you log into multiple accounts at once. These will also let you sign into other protocols such as AOL IM, MSN messenger, ICQ, IRC, Yahoo IM, and several others.
If you're open to trying a new client, I'd recommend trying Pidgin: http://www.pidgin.im/download/
Its probably one of the easier clients to learn to use.
If installing new software is an issue, use one instance of Yahoo Messenger and a web client like https://imo.im/

unfortunately you can't do that unless you know their account and manually doing it. Instead, I suggest you to create a new account. That way you can manage who to add and not add the person on your yahoo list. Adding a simple entry to the Windows Registry will let you run multiple instances of
Yahoo! Messenger simultaneously and sign in to as many accounts as you may have,
all from a single user account on the same computer.

1. Click Start
   
   
2. Click Run
   
   
3. Type regedit in the Open
   input box and hit ENTER key
   
   
4. Navigate
   to:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yahoo\Pager\Test
   
   
5. Click New on the Edit menu, and then click
   DWORD Value
   
   
6. Type Plural, and hit the ENTER key to name the entry.
   
   
7. In the right pane, right-click Plural, and then click
   Modify.
   
   
8. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, type 1
   under Value data

Now run Yahoo! Messenger
as usual. Every time you click/double click the Yahoo! Messenger icon in your
Start Menu, on your Desktop or your Quick Launch a new instance of
Yahoo! Messenger will be started. You can now sign in to multiple Yahoo!
Messenger accounts and be notified of any new email you have on any of your
Yahoo! accounts.
