Chances are your video settings are on pal/ntsc, and you're configured on the wrong one...
Maybe this can be configured, but I think it depends on your version of the wii console, did you buy it on ebay?
However, I think that some homebrew applications could fix this, altought i'm not 100% sure
Access your TV's menu screen and be sure that your TV screen is expecting input from "AV" or "Video". If you have "S-Video" selected, this is the cause of why your Wii is playing black and white.
hello, the problem could be from the colour setting of the television on the AV . Go to menu on the remote to change the colour function from NTSC to AUTO. Good luck
our wii turned black and white, and i fixed it by switching my AV onto AV1 setting, somehow it had gone on to AV25 and this had turned it black and white, so check out your AV menu options on your tele
Try plugging it into another scart socket, this sometimes happens when a tv does not support 60hz. the result is a screen that has no colour. You could try just plugging it onto the seperate av inputs. Most tv's these days have one scart that will work ok and in colour.
Possibly you've plugged the video into the component (RGB) portion of the input - this calls for 3 connectors (Red, Blue, & Green) and if you only plug one in from a composite it comes out grayscale. If you only have one video lead (yellow connector) make sure it is going to a composite connection which should also be yellow. Otherwise, more info is needed about your connections.
