The subwoofer uses the T1.6L250V fuse. You can get this at your local hardware store.

My mms 5650 speakers are for whatever reason not being recognized by my Dell Dimension 8400. I've already made sure my audio drivers are up to date and there are no drivers for these speakers. There is...

Be sure that you have not "muted" your computer's audio-output.

Open the audio "mixer", and check that the "line-out" mix has not been pulled-down to a 'zero' level.

Try the speakers in some other (desktop or laptop) computer.

Try different speakers in your computer.

Check that you're plugging-in to the (green-coloured) "line-out" socket on your audio-adapter (not the blue-coloured "line-in" nor the pink "microphone-in" sockets).

There _are_ limits to what the "Plug-and-Play" features of Windows will detect. Generally, speakers are *NOT* listed within Device Manager.

Try switching from '5.1' to '2-channel-stereo', just to test it.

DELL SPEAKER SYSTEM STOPPED WORKING

Suggest you abandon the mini-phone jack connection - sounds like a wire is broken in that connector. Use the RCA stereo outputs from your TV into the Dell surround system. You may need a couple of adapter cables to make that work. Take photos of the connectors on the back of your TV and on the back of the Dell Surround system. Take those to an electronics store like Best Buy and ask for help there to get the cables you need (telling them that the mini-phone (headphone) plug is giving you trouble.

Dell 5650 Speakers on Gateway DX4200

the speakers should have a stereo jack on a wire which would be the out put, if it is a surround sound speaker system then it most likely will have a few wires, if your computer has only one stereo jack input then the green cable would be the one you would connect in most cases, if it has 3 or 6 then you would follow the colour on the jacks and match them up with the input on your computer. if you have done all this and doesnt work check if there is audio icon in the bottom left task bar and if you can use other speakers, if you can everthing should work, if not then check for drivers online.

No sound, cenral and rear speakers Dell 5650 speakers

the surround sound speakers connect to the computer by way of three connectors. the system should have come with an adapter that plugs all three connectors into one green connector. if you color match that green connector into the computer you should get sound out of the central and rear speakers. not sure if the surround sound will work correctly for movies, but you should get sound
