How do i set up fax machine ux-p115 - Sharp Office Equipment & Supplies

Hello,
I cannot make this fax machine work, I've tried everything I could think of.
Using the Owners Manual for set up it will not let me enter vital information in order for the thing to work. The section "Entering Your Name and Fax Number" does not appear when pressing the proper Function key followed by the proper Arrow keys. It never takes me to "OWN NUMBER SET" it always skips to "DATE AND TIME SET". Unfortunately the instructions state explicitly..."Before you can begin sending faxes, you must enter your name and your fax number."
I talked with an online help desk person but she couldn't figure it out so I'm waiting for a call back from Sharp Electronics now, (Case # 9473249) if they cannot offer a fix I'm going to have to return this item.
