How do I clear the memory on a cvs bm 35

To clear the memory, press the MEM button, then the display
shows no. 1. Press the "+" button to select the user memory you want to clear and confirm by pressing MEM again. Press and hold the "+" and "clock" keys simultaneously for 5 seconds (the display will show CLA). That user memory has been cleared.

My ti-84 plus it does not respond to the function + or - OR other function, & it come up to display very slow ,slow. thanks

Hi xvbanh,

You need to free up some memory. Try clearing your RAM. Your calculator should operate properly afterward.

Go to [2nd] [MEM] [7] [1] [2]

If your calculator still won't let you delete the RAM memory try the procedure below.

Remove one of the AAA batteries. Press and hold the [CLEAR] key. While holding [CLEAR],
reinsert the AAA battery and then turn the calculator on. The calculator should display the
message "RAM Cleared". Release the [CLEAR] key and then press it one more time to remove the message.

I cannot get numbers to show up. a checkered pattern light shows up

The checkered cursor means that memory is full. You must clear it or reset it.
Press [2nd][+] to access the (MEM)ory management function.
Select [7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:RESET] [ENTER].
Press [Clear] to clear the "Ram Cleared" message.

If that does not work, remove the main batteries for a while and resibsert them.

The calculator will not work and won't let me type anything. The only thing on the screen is a cursor and it is not blinking.

Hi,
What kind of cursor? Is it checkered? If it is the memory is full that is why you cannot type anything anymore.
  1. Delete games,
  2. clear all lists [2nd][MEM][4:ClrAllLists][ENTER.]
  3. Clear entries [2nd][MEM][3:Clear Entries][ENTER.]
  4. If that is not enough reset Ram [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram] [2:Reset][ENTER]. Clear the Ram Cleared message.
Hope it helps

Gives error memory message when tries to change

Hi,
See if the cursor is checkered. If so, the calculator is out of memory.
You may have very little memory available and then wanted to create a table with a very small DeltaTbl (the table step). If the step is small, and the domain is large, very many points will have to be generated and that may make the calculator unable to comply for lack of RAM.

I suggest you free some Ram by clearing the lists, clearing the entries. To do so you press [2nd][MEM][3:Clear Entries] to clear entries, then press [2nd][MEM][4:ClrAllLists] to clear the lists.

Alternatively, you can just reset the Ram by pressing [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset][ENTER]. Then clear the Ram Cleared message and start again your table.

Hope it helps.
Thank you for using FixYa and for rating this solution.

Memory menu doesn't work.

If you are willing to reset it, hold the "CLEAR" button while you take out the batteries and then let go of clear, then put the batteries back in, and if that don't work, reverse the last two steps, and if that don't work, I suggest that you get professional help

Calculator will not come on

I have the same problem with the calc not responding to removing one batt and reinstalling while holding clear, etc. My fix is to hook up wires to the battery leads and plug the wire into a 120 volt outlet. Watch it light up, but do NOT breath the smoke as it is extremely toxic. ;-) lkw
