CD not coming out of my MacBook

I bought a new CD yesterday and I tried to put it in my Macbook but it wasn't going in. It turns out there's another CD in there (there's a CD icon on my Desktop) and I can play the game on my computer. When I press Eject though, nothing comes out. However, it pretends as if there's no CD in there anymore. I've tried everything to get it out but it's just not coming out. What can I do?

Things I might try that you may or may not have tried already:

  1. Reboot and try to eject again.
  2. Reboot and hold down your mouse button during start up.
  3. Reboot and hold down your the eject button during start up.
If those don't work, check to see if your disk drive is warped in anyway. My old MacBook would only eject if I pried the slot open a little.

I hope you can get your disc out.

I have a new Macbook Air. It was working fine till yesterday. Today when i switched it ON, it is not booting. There is a blue screen and that is it...

Turn it on and let it boot as far as it can. Insert the system DVD that came with the machine. Hold down the "C" key and reboot (this will force it to boot from the optical drive - i.e., the DVD/CD). You should then come to the setup screen. From there, re-install the operating system.

Hej. Yesterday, suddenly my Macbook air´s keyboard and the touchpad started not to react. I didn´t do anything, just let my laptop on the tabel for 5 min. and when I came back, it wasn´t...

when your keyboard and touchpad are not working, try to connect an usb mouse and keyboard to the laptop, just to be sure the system is responding.
if the usb devices work, you can be pretty sure there is an hardware problem. if the usb devices don't work too, maybe the system got stuck, and the best thing to do is a system reset

if the usb devices work, give a try to the apple hardware test to see if it detects anything.

Don't know how to put my new macbook pro to sleep :P

All that can be done in the aluminium button on the top rigth corner of the body. Try this: go to the blue apple icon on the top left of the screen, and pull down menu, there is the Sleep, Restart, turn off options.

A cd is stuck in my macbook.

The same thing happens to me all the time.
Ok so, you have the cd in ur laptop. Restart your laptop and hold the "eject" key until it comes back to your desktop. If your computer cant restart, hold down the power button till its off then turn it on again and hold the eject button. And hopefully it will come out.

Hope I helped

Macbook won't detect!

First thing to do is to put in a CD cleaning disk. You can buy this at most electronics stores. Run this disk 4 or 5 times. I've never found that one pass was good enough. Then try one of the disks that your computer previously would not read. If that doesn't work, chances are that your drive is going bad. I don't know how long you've had the MacBook, but you should call Apple immediately to see if you can get a replacement drive for free.

MacBook Printer Problem

If you have OSX, the computer already has the drivers, do not use the ce, just connect the printer via usb, make sure the power cable is connected, turn the printer on, restart the computer.
After the reboot, go to the apple in the top left, select SYSTEM PREFS, select PRINTING and FAX, add a printer based on the model number. That should do it, if not, let me know, you may need 2 more steps.
