Error 05 show in hp scanjet 8270

SOURCE: HP 8270 does not scan on windows Vista . Could not

I cannot find the documents that I scan, and if I have the scanner preview the document it shows the document but then it will not save anywhere. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the latest driver but without any change in the problem HP Scanjet 8250 and this started without warning. I have had the scanner for a year and it worked with out any problems then poof no more scanning.

Error code 5 denotes a device failed and requires an arbitrator/administrator. If an installed device requests a resource type and detects that there is no arbitrator, computer users will receive this error code. The arbitrator/administrator redirects the system in a chosen field. It cannot happen if the computer has a firewall or has user restrictions. The administrator does this for security purposes. The system denies admission to other users to protect information and important data.
A user is denied access to some files or program. As a result, the user will not be able to obtain information from certain files nor actions like delete, restore, or edit can be executed.Errors on your system may be caused by invalid registry entries and outdated or corrupt drivers.
Update the driver of the files. Use the click start control panel administrive tools Device Manager scroll to ports(Com<p)+to expand you should see a communication port& Ecp printer port you might see a yellow question mark? right click to uninstall and reinstall the appropriate device. Run wizard in the Add New Hardware in Control Panel
