Look to the IC near the AV jack there is a AV switch IC. try to replace it. but some tv use a large IC jungle which is the AV sw. is also inside that large IC.So study carefully if your tv has a separate AV sw. IC..

Chances are you should have checked some components related to that IC,namely an electrolytic capacitor. They tend to leak or short. That IC burned for a reason.

SOUND BUT NO PICTURE WHEN DVD IS PLAYING

Need to check an av switching ic. Make sure you got the 12v going to the ic, if missing troublle shoot power supply. If it is there, bad ic. Or if it is low, unsolder vcc pin and check for right voltage to see if the ic is bringing down the voltage.

Can I set the default input?

some tv model has a setting that every time you switch on the tv the set will back on the last customer setting, other tv does not support this setting. But if your tv works as i mentioned earlier during the first time you buy it. Meaning the IC memory is malfuntion.
