These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. You have a problem on the "D" board. If you understand electronics and soldering you should check transistor Q8014 and Q8013 for shorts, leakage or bad solder connections. If you find any problems replace the transistors and also check/replace R8051 and IC8005.

Hi,
According to the LED error code (11 times blinking) the problem is in "Jungle controller 8 volts" which are not being produce, this kind of fault bit technically difficult to and i suggest you to contact any expert to find the cause of not producing 8 volts supply,

HI, this is the result of an unstable power sector in this unit. the fly back is malfunctioning and, you will need to replace it asap. i will list the part number below and a link to a site as well. you can purchase this part on-line if you wish.

Sony does not have 11 blink code it only goes to 10 blinks. You can Try self-Diagnostic mode- Press---- display,5,vol- then power when set comes up it should have codes telling you which circuit has problem.

Blink code only goes to 8 on this model. Are you sure its not 5 and 6? That would be AKB and Horizontal stop, respectively. Quite likely a flyback transformer on this model.

The 4 blinks usually mans that there is no vertical deflection signal. Look for a small flat Ic with about 11 pins that may be marked LA7837 or something similar. Resolder the pins on that first. If that fails to resolve it, replace the IC.

Its sort of silly, but my father got behind the tv and smacked it. The error message went away, and the tv is working fine now.
It wasn't easy for him to get behind it though, it's rather tall and weighs 234lbs.
