Cd burner i was burning music on my cd burner and now it says that i have to plug in a cd burner and and restart computer i want to now how many connectins are supose to be hooked in the burner thank you jim

try xp burner if that doesn't work your DVD drive is too old for W10

Your burner can't recognize CD.
You should restart your computer, or try to burn different mark of CD (Verbatim, Princo, etc.).

What is exactly the problem, Does your computer have the software and the CD burner in it? What are the steps you follow to burn music?
Normally to burn the music from the computer , use Media player or any other software that can burn CD. Pick the music files to be burned from the local drive. Insert blank CD in the CD burner. Hit the burn to CD button from the CD burning software.

Restart the machine - it will find and reinstall your burner and you'll be good to go

first off go to system information and find details of cd drive and write them down.
next click start,right click my computer,select properties,click hardware,click device manager.locate cd drive and delete.close all windows and restart.on restart system will detect new device and reinstall and more importly reconfigure.this should do the trick

hi, the problem is either the system is not detecting the CDRW,, if u can see the drive in the device manager, then try cleaning the lens, if its not in the device manager, check the BIOS, or unplug the drive out of the slot and clean the contacts and plug it back in carefully, let me know

if you wish to burn cd's which is your burner then you need a software called nero burning rom or any other burning software that lets you burn data or audio cd's or vcd's to burn with if you wish to burn dvd's then you need a dvd burner combo drive which lets you burn dvds
