When i turn on my ps3 nothing appears on my television!!!

your blue ray player is broken you have to send it back to sony if you have warrenty its free but if you dont its $150

You could be experiencing a faulty laser. Try using a laser cleaning disc approved for use in a console.

turn the ps3 off manually by holdin the button down. once it turns off n the red light appears let the button go then push n hold it again for ten seconds or so. Did u recently switch from component to hdmi?

Just a gander, but your PS3 may be set for HD output thus not displaying on your non HD television, your best bet in this case is to find an HD television, friend, coworker, etc, connect to it and switch the settings back to regular. Also if I understand correctly leaving the ps3 completely unplugged for 72 hours may also reset all settings. Good luck!

What I did?

1).Shut down the system from the switch on the back.
2).Place and hold your finger down the on/off power button.
3).Turn the switch on the back “ON”, while still holding down the on/off power button.
4).Release your finger from the on/off power button, after you hear 2 beeps.

Try it on another TV if nothing shows up then your PS3 or the video plug is broken.

I found it 2 min. ago. Ok here: while your ps3 is on hold the power button on the ps3 for you will hear one beep, keep holding it then when you hear the second beep take your finger off. Your ps3 should turn off. Now push the power button while holding your finger on it again, you will hear two single beeps, then a double beep, let your finger ago and a screen should appear with six options. Chose something like reset(or restore) file data or something like that and click yes, this wont do anything to your game/music/movie/etc. files but now your ps3 shall work.

I posted to your problem with a similar one. I was able to get my PS3 to work by:

1.) Powering down both the PS3 and ViewSonic LCD
2.) Unplugging the power cables to both PS3 and LCD
3.) Waiting at least 10 or more seconds
4.) Plugging in the power cables to both PS3 and LCD
5.) Turning on the ViewSonic LCD
6.) Turning on the PS3 and holding down the power button until the beep

After this sequence I heard the bootup audio and the menu appeared on the screen- which detected the HDMI connection to my LCD.

Very odd.. I've had my PS3 in the same place for months and just today this happened.

i turn my ps3 on and the green light flashes and switches off without we touching anything nothing appears on the screen either??????????????/

you need a scart box the one that you put the yellow red white plugs in to then you put it in the back of the TV than go to av on the TV remote that normally works on new and old TVs
