I have a Pansonic SA-HT820V multi disc unit. I must have pushed the wrong button and now the top 4 disc carriers are extended. How do I get them to retract so we can used the disc player again?

The Technics SA-DX940 is made by Panasonic. The manua as a PDF is available here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SADX940.PDF . The directions for connecting the speakers start on page 14. The connection to the TV is on page 10. To use the SA-DX940 as just external speakers for your TV, connect either the digital audio out from the TV (if it has one) or the RCA audio out from the TV to the matching TV audio in on the SA-DX940.
My remote works for the most basic functions I need it for. But there are things that don't work, like the Menu button. After looking online just now, there is a website to order new parts and accessories for this system. Here is the website, http://www.pstc.panasonic.com/EpartR/PartsListChoice.asp?validate=1.
If you order a new remote, maybe that will work. Not sure if it's worth it for you but that's what I'm going to try. And here is the remote you need, EUR7722X20. Good luck!
I have a Panasonic SC-HT692 5 disc theater in a box with a broken subwoofer and everything else functioning. Sounds like there's a functioning system if we put out parts together.
