Hello i have a VM9424 intalled and was working perfectly however yesterday i try to use the SD card and then the systems stopped working completely i turned off and on again and the main window was the SRC selectgion and i am able to heard the radio, however i cannot select anything but the setup and standby options, when i try to select any other option the system does 3 beep sound but nothing happens, i already tried reseting the system and remain the same, thanks in advance for your help

try reentering the code. if not the screen whent out. i bought one of thees screens. and had to return it more than 4 times the screen whent out . cd player didnt work .ect.....ect...

There are two main reasons for this fault. The first one is confused system control section. The second one is weak Laser Pickup Unit Assembly.
Just reset the system first, to rectify if there is any system confution occured. To reset use the tip of a ball point pen to press the reset button hole, can be located at the front right corner of the player. After system reset, the unit will return to its factory default settings. If the reset is done while a DVD is playing the Dvd resumes play once the reset is complete.
Check out if it helps you or not. If not, put a cleaning disc, and play it two or more times. If there is any dust accumulation on the lens of the Laser Picup Unit, this will rectify the probelm.
If this also not rectifies the problem, the Laser Pickup Unit is defective, and needs replacent. Replace it with samy type and number. OK.

Its video output IC has damaged. It is composed of an IC [SMD]; Surface Mount Device; and cannot be replaced by normal desoldering and soldering methods. It needs automatic desoldering resoldering machine. Moreover, the circuit board inside it will be very compact, and need special care and attention to disassembe and reassemble it. This is not a user repairable trouble. OK.
