I have used allot of different wireless plug and play devices but this by far is the crappiest one by far I am no slouch when it comes to troubleshooting things on my PC but this mouse is junk Problems from day one. My advice is return it before it's too late and buy a different brand. I like the page forward and back right ast my finger tips but the connectivity issues are not worth the hassel

How do I connect a microsoft wireless moblie mouse 3000 to my laptop?

Press the button on the back of the mouse to free the battery cover on top.

Remove the battery cover and put the supplied AA battery into the mouse.

Replace the battery cover.

Insert the wireless USB dongle into a USB port on the laptop or desktop computer.

Move the mouse and watch your computer screen.

Confirm that the mouse is connected by making the cursor move.

Hope this helps

Mouse was working and then it just got stuck.. light in mouse was flickering, changed battery, mouse still stuck, tried to reboot computer etc, still not working..

The problem is not the mouse itself... it is probably the USB receiver. Most likely there is a loose connection. try removing the device, then re-inserting it you may have to jiggle it around a bit, but ultimately I would consider replacing the mouse they are not to expensive $20-50

I lost the connection between my mouse and the computer - I'm not sure how to reset

Try reseting the usb connection. The computer will rediscover the usb "device" and may find it again. Then try pressing the resync button which is probably on the usb dongle. If this doesn't work, press control alt delete. This will bring up your security or process control prompt (depending on how it's set up). If nothing happens after pressing control alt delete, your computer may have frozen (requiring you to cycle power on the computer). If it comes up, use your tab key to cycle through the buttons to the "shutdown" or "restart" button. Once you've reset, you should have your mouse again.

Hope this helps,
Bill

Need to press connect button on mouse and the button on usb within seconds of each other to sync the mouse. At least that worked for me when I changed batteries.

Swissgear spyder mouse will not work

Had the same problem with my wife's...you have to push the connect buttons on both the receiver and the mouse almost simultaneously after turning the mouse off and back on. Keep trying, it took me lots of tries.
