1. Remove memory card from camera and then connect it to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer. 2. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked) http://www.asoftech.com/apr/ 3. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

I also have a vivicam 7025, with the same problem, when I insert the SD card, first it recognises that a card has been inserted but then it says its going back to internal memory. I can't take any photo's and am VERY frustrated!!! Did you find out how to sort yours out?
