This machine will not only not print, but when you want to print more then 10 copies the noice is so loud that next door office called the building manager. I want my money back .Called several times , services was given by people who statd the this machine is a sh.... and recommed another on e.......well............

Info helps, like EXACT imessages/codes/lights, the state of carts are they gen or refills, what you have tried etc

It's not unusual for paper to hit the bottom of the print head, especially if the paper is bent. This can cause smearing. If you have pets, you can check for pet fur in the printer, or other foreign material inside that can also cause smearing.

Brother 420cn mfc, cant print It asks me to read in the routine maintenance of the trouble shooting guide.

Did you use non-Brother brand ink refills? If so, the print head is probably clogged. If that is the case, it's almost cheaper and easier to replace the printer itself. Sorry. I loved my MFC-210C until it quit, and the internet is full of people complaining about the whole MFC series. Going on 2 trouble free years with my Canon, better print, better optics, wireless, but no fax, unfortunately.

sending fax is working alri.ght, only when I try to recieve fax it gives an error 30 on the display. At the same time it unable to clean. Please help me with this.

MFC -9420 CN Printer/Fax Scanner

I've seen this before...

The machine is calling for legal sized paper and it thinks it has it in the paper tray. Check the back stop that is inside the paper tray. It should be a green guide that is closest to you if you pull the tray out. You may have to lift up a flap on the end. Make sure that the paper stop is on the correct paper size for what is in the tray. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

reinstall printer driver or download printer driver by searching web TYPE IN : printer driver for Brother mfc-9420 you need to know what operating system you use on computer like windows xp, windows 2000,or windows 98 download driver and install then retry printer.
