Question about Quad Cycling
My MCI Alien 2010 model scooter has 7000ks on the clock. It starts and runs, but just dies if i stop at traffic lights etc. If i give it gas it will not die, I think i need to adjust the idle screw, but cannot locate a manual for this scooter, does anyone have a picture or manual to help me locate this screw? Otherwise it will be a trip to the bike shop.
The idle screw is normally found on the carburetor and is a screw with a spring, close to where the throttle cable enters the carb.

It sounds like a carburetor problem. You need to make sure the diaframs in the carburetor are good. The last thing you need to do is set the high and low speed needles. If its the same as mine,it will be on top of the carburetor.
Drop me a message if you need more help.

Three things will cause this:
1: The sensor is cactus
2: The sensor is blocked (with gunk) and can not function.
3: There is no oil pressure to make it function.
2 is easy, you just take it out and clean it, if the problem is rectified then all is well. If not, you replace it, if the problem is rectified then all is well. If not you take it to a reputable bike mechanic, or get a manual and get it fixed. But I did not think that small bikes used oil pumps, I was of the opinion they used the oil spash technique. Could be wrong??????

check the hoses that put gas on the carburator, and also the pump. Check the spark plug, better take it off and clean it and check the gap.
