The set has the 3 strikes and you are out rule built into it.

Set will attempt 3 times to come on and if fails enter shutdown mode.

A short or an issue almost anywhere in power supply or high voltage circuit will cause this.

The only common cause is the set may have developed bad or cracked solder connections where the high voltage transformer solders in.

This happens because of poor soldering and expansion and contraction of the board happens when set gets hot and then cools off.

see attached photo of a high voltage transformer also called a Flyback Transformer.

I have a projector monitor receiver sd-p5046/sd-p4545, , but every 5 or 10 minutes monitor turns black, no picture and sometimes turns off, \r\nand i had to wait, awhile to turn on again

You did not mention if you also lose sound. If you do not, you probably have a problem with the high voltage section. It is failing, shorting, and has not gone completely yet. The flyback specifically is shorting out and needs to be replaced. I have a tip at which explains how to find and replace the flyback transformer and repair the high voltage section as well as where to get the replacement parts.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

Have you tried to do set the convergence with a pattern on the screen? Some tv's have the pattern built right into the setup. Others do it auto just by pushing a button. Adjusting the pattern on one side of the screen may affect the other side, depending on how far out of whack it is.

Magnets (speakers) near by will play havoc with convergence.
